Last night at 10 o'clock George J. Williams died at his home on the east side of the city of inflammatory rheumatism and complications of other kinds after an illness of four weeks. He was born Feb 28, 1858, his wife died in January 1897. He had three children, two sons and one daughter. They were Ross, Farley and Norah. He was an excelelnt man and brother to John and Ben Williams of this city. He was prominent in K of P; Ben Hur and Red Men orders. No time has yet been set for the funeral services - typed by kbz

Saturday night at 10 o’clock George J. Williams died at his home on East Main Street of inflammatory rheumatism and a complication of other diseases, after an illness of about a month. The funeral occurred at the home Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock, conducted by Rev. E. B. Thomson. Interment was at Oak Hill.

George J. Williams was born Feb. 28, 1858, and his wife passed into the beyond only a short time over a year ago, she dying in January 1897. To them were born three children, two sons and one daughter. They were Ross, Farley and Norah. Mr. Williams was an excellent citizen and had many friends, who sincerely mourn his death. He was a brother of John and Benjamin Williams and a popular member of the Tribe of Ben-Hur, Red Men and the K. of P., two members from each of which acted as pallbearers. -s
